Anafranil is passed through breastmilk, so it is recommended that mothers do not nurse while taking it.The effects of Anafranil on the elderly have not been studied.Before taking Anafranil, discuss all other active prescription medications with your doctor.You should not take Anafranil if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or central nervous system depressants such as Alprazolam and Diazepam. Apparently this is a common side effect for pediatric patients--it sure drove me nuts.This nmed stopped 90-95% of my obsessive thoughts!
I take 150mg. Anafranil was absolutely wonderful after the few weeks it takes to build up in your system.

It makes me less sad or reduces obsessive worry. sweating, weight gain about 15 lbs, and twitching, But I would rather sweat, twitch and be a little heavier than COUNT and CHECK everything in my house before I left. ... Anafranil was pretty good for depression. It is a wonder drug as far as OCD drugs go. It was given to me intravenously and during one treatment I had a fit which caused my shoulder to dislocate. I found the anafranil from ALFASIGMA in Milan, Italy not good and believe that this brand has INFERIOR pills.” It has done wonders.
I also spent one morning dry heaving. It is a miracle drug.
