ive had 5 miscarriages and my new gyne has prescribed these to take from week 4-20 of pregnancy.have you been prescribed them and if so was the outcome good? I haven’t heard anyone mention taking 2 weeks worth of oral antibiotics...... that were prescribed for something else. I’m no expert on this, but I thought they gave you IV antibiotics during labour for GBS? The guidelines for treatment of GBS is IV antibiotics during labour. 28/03/2019

Please let me know. But they give penicillin but the 2 are in the same family and do the same thing.

If you test negative then you don’t have GBS then won’t need antibiotics.... Please follow appropriate medical advice and not take old antibiotics you were once prescribed for another infection because you think it’s for the best. Posted
