Needless to say allergy season (ragweed) has really hit a high here and welp I’m a mess.

Is anyone else experiencing anything like this, or have any better allergy medication recommendations?Update: Thanks for the input, everyone! Can't have it cause I'm preggo, and I miss it. Nasonex is mometasone, flonase is fluticasone, and then there's nasacort, which is what I use, and it's triamcinolone. I actually went outside in May and didn't explode out my face holes. One of them is giving me massive headache pain turning into headaches. I'm going to stop taking the Singulair and Flonase and switch to Claritin.

I started using sinus dilators at night to open the left side of my nose up and it had helped a lot so far. received an overall rating of 5 out of 10 stars from 224 reviews. I would try to switch the Singulair first.I was just put on two different meds at the same time, for different things. I was on that for months, to combat allergies abd headaches. I don’t like to take pills and now worried about taking Flonase, but really feel like I need to start taking it again before my allergies turn into a cold.

Now my allergy symptoms are back and I've had migraines almost every day for the past two weeks. Drugs.com provides accurate and independent information on more than 24,000 prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines and natural products.

"Why would a medication I am on to cure my headaches GIVE me headaches...??" In Summary. Hi! If you're absolutely sure the flonase is making you worse, then stop. Ugh. The most common side effects of Flonase (fluticasone) include: It seems to work well, no adverse effects.I think they both work about the same. It's mostly used as an asthma drug, though some docs use it for allergies.

I'm very tired, have trouble focusing, and my vision is somewhat blurred (particularly in my right eye, although I do have astigmatism in that eye).

I’ve had severe migraines for the past five years and my mom recently gave me her bottle of arthritis medicine in an attempt to help with my pain. Flonase is available as a generic drug, and dosing is usually administered as two sprays in each nostril once daily, or one spray in each nostril twice daily. Dry nose, dry chest, dehydrated feeling, tension headaches..among other things.

It could be the Flonase but I added that to my Zyrtec this year and it's helped with no side effects. I still got migraines, but nothing like what the flonase gave me. I didn't sleep well either.I have to say, this year has been particularly bad... Not sure if it's the pollen, etc... but I have been getting migraine from things that never gave them to me previously (alcohol and coffee).
Nasonex is mometasone, flonase is fluticasone, and then there's nasacort, which is what I use, and it's triamcinolone. They're all otc so you should try them all and see what works best for you.Loooove my Nasonex. Tryna decide between these two.

What I didn't know about it was that a side effect was migraines. I was just put on two different meds at the same time, for different things.

I generally felt kind of crappy on it for a few weeks. I've taken Flonase off and on for a few years but just recently started feeling not well. It's another antihistamine.Oh and you probably want a Neil med squeeze bottle or neti pot for sinus rinsing. Has there been any discussion about using Voltaren Gel?

Fingers crossed that it helps!Singulair does list headaches as a side effect. Any personal experiences on which one has worked better for you?I'm interested to try this. I guess I will try to just be more observant of potential “side effects” and note them. It's depressing as hell, and I feel like nothing is going to make me feel better.I have been on a pretty rigerious routine of CTM pills (on the shelf at any local store (Chlor Trimeton)) and Mucinex when my head gets real bad (before the migraine sets in...) Sometimes that all I need and I don't have to deal with the side effects of Zomig.Allergy season is definitely worse this year, I suspect because we had such a bad winter (I'm in New England).New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castA community of headache disease sufferers.

There is a variety of brands available on Amazon, but these are the ones that I've tried so far.
