Prozac, an SSRI, works directly on improving depression, and Lamictal, which was developed for seizures, is a mood stabilizer, as are all drugs in this class.

It worked for me, started being more productive, felt much happier (after years of depressing episodes). I have been taking 200mg for approx.
Normally, when starting Lamictal, there is a step-up program (starter pack) beginning with 25mg/day for a few days, then 50mg/for a few days and so on. It doesn't make me drowsy or tired, but we all react differently. I started losing hair after a couple months which I thought was because of tying my hair in a bun at first. Lamictal worked, but unfortunately the side effects were too bad for me.Lamictal absolutely saved my life and I could see the results building steadily over time.
