I also take Methotrexate, Prednisone, Plaquenil and Humira. Some side effects of sulfasalazine may occur that usually do not need medical attention.

The most common side effects of sulfasalazine are: feeling sick; diarrhoea; stomach pain; dizziness; headaches; rashes. I was on sulfasalazine for the first couple years I was diagnosed (3000mg as well). 1. Aching of joints 2. fever 3. headache (continuing) 4. increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight 5. skin rash or itching 6. vomiting I am fairly new to all these medications, so maybe it is a combination of all them?
