How I survived acne thread. PCOS and hormonal acne.

Posted by. Routine in comments! My skin is better now and stopped being so dry.i started differin after nothing worked for my acne and after roughly 12 weeks it worked very wellI’m on week 7 of differin and haven’t purged yet (which is shocking to me because everything makes me break out). ... Curology products only (4% Niacinamide, 1% Clindamycin, 4% Azelaic Acid). My curology is only .009%, and it definitely has some effects. It's astringent, and has either high or low oleic acid (can't remember which means astringent).

I am really excited to check these recs out! This is me right now.

I noticed the purging comes in waves so I looked up some dermatologists on YouTube.

Or at least wait awhile before you apply your prescription.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castPress J to jump to the feed. Adding spironolactone, an oral *diuretic, is what helped the most until I finally got the IUD removed more than a year later. But it's a real nuisance. And the improvement is crazy. Apply sunscreen, and/or makeup (SPF 15 or greater). I try so hard! 287. Apply moisturizer after your Curology prescription cream, if you need it. And yet here I am!I'm not on Curology, I went to my derm for my hormonal acne, but getting a secondary prescription for a topical clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide combo medication to use in the morning really helped when I started tret recently.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castA place to discuss beauty brands, cosmetics, and skincare from Asia.Press J to jump to the feed. and of course it's still very early, but have you noticed any changes in your skin from the new prescription? Can I ask if your curology derm recommended this or did you suggest it and s/he agreed?

I've been on curology 4% azelaic acid/1% clindamycin/4% niacinamide for a few months now with good results in combating hormonal acne around my chin. I went online and found out that this was supposedly "normal" acne purging. Curology gave me cystic acne and my skin has never looked worse, please do not make the same mistake I did and use this product. The Curology moisturizer is light and noncomedogenic, so this is a great option if you’re using the full Curology set. Seriously, gives me a lot of hope.

Prescription ingredients like tretinoin and azelaic acid work partly by unclogging pores, but this can mean an adjustment period for the skin, when you may see “initial breakouts” or “purging.” The pores are getting cleared out, and the skin cells are sloughing off like they should, but this can lead to these temporary breakouts. This has been an ongoing cycle since I started it.I’ve been using differin for 2 months and nothing has happened. Before slowly returning myself back to Curology, I started using the Houttuynia Cordata Ferment Serum from Zymogen.

I’ve read reviews and I’m freaking out lol I don’t want my skin to be any worse.I tend to breakout around my chin and jawline and sometimes my cheeks. My prescription is Azelaic Acid 4% Clindamycin 1% Niacinamide 4%I have the exact same formula and I didn’t have any purging. The trial actually sat in my closet for over a month lol. One of them (Dr. Sam Bunting) said something that made so much sense: Your pores act like conveyor belts. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
