The Lok Adalats are formed to fulfil the promise given by the preamble of the Indian Constitution – securing Justice – social, economic and political of every citizen of India. The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 brought about the establishment of Lok Adalat System for settlement of disputes cheaply and expeditiously and also in the spirit of compromise by give and take formula. Lok Adalat accepts the cases pen. Lok Adalat is one of the forum which has been playing an important role in settlement of disputes.
